Are you ready to launch?
Congregational Assessment & Learning Experience
This is a one-weekend experience from Friday afternoon through Monday morning for a congregation. Through this experience a congregation is engaged in an assessment and learning experience they can use to address and mobilize around high-priority spiritual and strategic issues.
Since this is an open and exploratory process, congregational leaders can identify approximately three high-priority strategic issues to focus on during the weekend. Based on these issues, the process is customized for the congregation.
While it can be a stand-alone weekend, it is most often used to launch the Prism Journey focused upon helping a congregation live into its God-inspired future.
CALE Weekend
Who’s It For?
The Congregational Assessment and Learning Experience (CALE) Weekend is for congregations who are in need of an outside perspective on their spiritual journey. Through this process congregations receive assistance with acting on high-priority spiritual and strategic issues.
How to Prepare?
The congregational leadership give insight on the high priority strategic issues for the CALE Weekend. Once that is provided the Prism Journey Guide indicates the materials needed for study before the arrival of the CALE Weekend. Under the guidance of the Prism Journey Guide the congregation sets up various learning experiences for the entirety of the weekend.
When Does It Happen?
Normally, the CALE Weekend takes place from a Friday afternoon to a Monday morning. It involves teaching, observation, focus groups, and dialogue with leaders, and a written report. The Prism Journey Guide will have a bias to discover and develop the capacities already present within the life and ministry of the congregation on which they can build God’s future for them.
What Happens on Sunday?
On Sunday, the Prism Journey Guide will adopt a fresh eyes perspective to assess the quality of what happens in and around the church during its primary worship, learning, and fellowship times.
Deliverable
Within three weeks after the CALE Weekend the Prism Journey Guide will provide a written report to the congregation. The means of delivery can vary based upon circumstances. In certain situations, the Prism Journey Guide can provide an on-site report to leadership and, as requested, to the full congregation.
