Current Reality

At times, your role as a leader can feel daunting. The temptation is to arrive with a menu of ready-made solutions, trying to match a program to a problem before you fully understand the context. But organizations are not interchangeable. Their histories, their people, their challenges, and their potential are all distinct.

The era of the one-size-fits-all consulting package is over. What is needed instead is an approach that engages your team in an honest, in-depth conversation about your greatest strengths, your most significant constraints, and what the mission you exist to serve is actually asking of you right now.

It's time to upgrade your clarity-building approach. For churches, associations, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations, the path forward is not a new program. It's a better process. That is what the Discovering Next Approach delivers.

  • Every organization is unique, but most leaders share a set of common challenges that can either fuel or foil their next step forward. We conduct a rapid assessment of every organization through seven diagnostic lenses, giving us the insight needed to ask better questions and develop solutions that actually fit your specific situation.

  • Questions are the currency of clarity. We use carefully chosen questions to surface the opportunities, pain points, and unspoken tensions that teams are carrying, helping leaders face their present reality with honesty rather than assumption.

  • Once a team has identified the possible solutions on how to proceed forward, it becomes imperative that they clarify which steps serve their long-term and short-term objectives. We help teams to reach consensus on what direction God is leading them next.

  • Identification of a clear next step is imperative, however, most organizations never develop a formal plan to support taking that next step. We’ve developed several ways teams can chart their next steps to keep them at the forefront of what needs to happen in their context.

  • In this stage of the process, we utilize several principles and practices to increase an organization’s movement from idea creation to implementation. We help teams consider the resources they currently have and the roadblocks they may face along the way.

  • Although often overlooked, this last part of the Discovering Next Approach is essential because is fuels the team and emboldens the people to embrace their next step toward meaningful progress. Through this stage we help teams tell their story of breakthrough so that others can celebrate and learn from their journey.
